Eskimo Jesus

Jesus forgets he's supposed to pray to the Jesuits, not the Inuits.

I mean no offense to any eskimos, nor to any religious minds. I can honestly say I do not poke fun at anything unless I myself love it.

The story behind this started last week, when my workplace was holding the annual Christmas door contest. Most departments, including ours, submitted multiple doors. The first was a Texas Christmas, with packing cardboard sculpted into a cactus with jalapeno lights. The second was a recreation of the birth of Jesus. Someone from another department saw it and commented on the sheep in the scene, which were made from cloth and cotton balls. He said they looked like polar bears and said there were no polar bears at the birth of Jesus. Then without missing a beat, I quipped "No, but they were at the birth of Eskimo Jesus". You wouldn't believe the crack-up. Needless to say, the joke refused to leave my head, so I had to make this to dump it once and for all.

So, please don't be offended. If God and Jesus are the loving and caring fellows they are, then they surely have a sense of humor about theirselves.
